# Real Talk With God > I created Real Talk With God as a welcoming place for men to be honest, vulnerable, and open about faith and mental health. I share my own journey through depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and recovery to remind others that they are not alone. Through real conversations rooted in God's Word, I encourage men to speak up, seek support, and discover hope, peace, and purpose. I am not a mental health professional, but I believe every man deserves compassion and a safe place to begin. - **What is faith-based mental health support?** Faith-based support brings spiritual reflection, prayer, and biblical perspectives into conversations about emotional well-being. It can offer encouragement and community while complementing, not replacing, care from qualified mental health professionals. - **Can I talk about difficult emotions in a faith-centered setting?** Yes, honest conversations about fear, grief, anxiety, depression, and other struggles can have a meaningful place in a faith-centered community. Sharing openly with trusted people can reduce isolation and help someone consider constructive next steps. - **Is faith-based encouragement a substitute for therapy or medical care?** No. Spiritual encouragement can support a person's sense of hope and connection, but it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. A licensed mental health professional or medical provider should be involved when symptoms are persistent, severe, or affecting daily life. - **How can I support someone who is struggling?** Listen without judgment, take their words seriously, and encourage them to connect with qualified support. If someone may be in immediate danger or thinking about suicide, contact emergency services or a crisis hotline in their area rather than leaving them to face it alone. - **What should I do if I am having thoughts of harming myself?** Seek immediate help by contacting local emergency services or a suicide and crisis hotline, and tell a trusted person who can stay with you. You deserve prompt, compassionate support, and faith-based encouragement should be used alongside urgent professional care. ## Services - [Men's Faith Podcast](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/mens-faith-podcast.md): I share honest conversations about faith, vulnerability, and men's mental health. - [Mental Health Discussions](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/mental-health-discussions.md): I create supportive discussions about depression, anxiety, recovery, and hope. - [Christian Testimonies](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/christian-testimonies.md): I share personal testimony and faith-based encouragement for men facing difficult seasons. - [Community Conversations](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/community-conversations.md): I provide a welcoming space for men to speak openly, seek truth, and feel less alone. ## Contact & Social - [instagram](https://instagram.com/realtalkwithgod_) ## Pages - [Home](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/index.md) - [Personal Testimony Conversations](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/christian-testimonies.md) - [Guided Men’s Conversation](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/community-conversations.md) - [Real Talk Podcast Episodes](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/mens-faith-podcast.md) - [Mental Health Conversation Series](https://getrealtalkwithgod.com/services/mental-health-discussions.md)
